The Festival marks the 50th anniversary of declaring Sozopol as an architectural-historical reserve of national importance

31.05.2024 (FRIDAY)

  1. Official opening of the International Plain-air Workshop « Soleil », with the participation of painters from Bulgaria, Albania, Georgia, Greece, North Macedonia, Romania, France.

Beginning: 17:00 h.

03.06.2024 (MONDAY)

  1. Official opening of the exhibition “Seabed’s secret”. An exhibition of the latest archeological discoveries of the Sozopol bay, organized with the kind support Submarine archeology center, Museum of National history, Cultural Institute Sozopol and Sozopol Museum center.

Beginning: 17:30 h.

Place: Sozopol Museum center.

 

  1. Official opening of the exhibition “Down with different eyes”. A photo exhibition from the Sozopol bay by Michael Zaimov.

Beginning: 18:00 h.

  1. A partner project between the Balkan sciences institute, the Center of Thracian sciences at the Bulgarian academy of sciences, the State cultural institute at the Ministry of foreign affairs and “Soleil” foundation, in implementation of the National scientific program “Development of the Bulgarian sciences abroad”.

  1. Official opening of the Thirteenth International Francophone Festival « Soleil » under the patronage of Mr. Tihomir Yanakiev, mayor of Sozopol.

Concert of Vera Chandelle and Angel Zaberski trio.

04.06.2024 (TUESDAY)

  1. Solemn session on the occasion of 50th anniversary since the announcement of Sozopol and St. Kirik peninsula as an architectural-historical reserve of national importance. The event is under the patronage of Mr. Tihomir Yanakiev, mayor of Sozopol.

Beginning: 10:00 h.

Place: Municipality council, ancient town of Sozopol.

 

  1. Official opening of the exhibition “Taste life”. The exhibition is kindly provided by the Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Beginning: 11:45 h.

  1. Official opening of the exhibition “Harı bulbul – a symbol of love and peace”. The exposition is organized with the assistance of the Center of Azerbaijani language and culture of the Sofia University « St. Kliment Ohridski » and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Bulgaria.

Place: Archeological Museum, ancient town of Sozopol.

  1. Official opening of the exhibition “Susha – the pearl of cultural heritage of Azerbaijan”. The exhibition is kindly provided by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

  1. Official opening of the exhibition “Albania: Paradise lost” by Nikolay Shabarkov. A partner project between the Embassy of the Republic of Albania and “Soleil” Foundation.

  1. Short commercial movie “Unknown Albania”, presented by the Embassy of the Republic of Albania.

  1. Concert “Classic’s alive”. The event is organized by the Cultural Institute at the Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia.

  1. Official opening of the exhibition “Cannes 23, 24”. Exposition of Ms. Ivelina Kuncheva from the Cannes festivals in 2023 and 2024.

  1. “Interviewing is an art”. A documentary by Ms. Ivelina Kuncheva.
